Wecom Fiber has been awarded $24.5 million through Arizona’s Broadband Equity, Access & Deployment (BEAD) program. This is the largest grant given to any single recipient in the state program.
The funding will bring multi-gig fiber broadband to approximately 6,500 homes and businesses in rural Mohave County. Areas served include Kingman, Dolan Springs, Meadview, White Hills, Willow Beach, Golden Valley, and Hackberry.
Mohave County Board of Supervisors Chairman Travis Lingenfelter noted the partnership will support commerce, education, and public health across the region.
