Bridging The Digital Divide
Connecting 66,000 Arizona Homes & Businesses
Wecom Fiber + BEAD program bringing fiber internet to rural and underserved communities.
Arizona’s BEAD program will enable Wecom Fiber to connect over 66,000 homes and businesses across 17 project areas and eight counties, delivering reliable fiber broadband where it’s needed most. This milestone brings long-awaited connectivity that will strengthen education, healthcare access, economic development, and quality of life.
Beyond the $195 million BEAD award, Wecom is committing millions in private matching dollars to build and enhance broadband infrastructure across these same regions—reinforcing our long-term commitment to the communities we serve.
Why It Matters
Millions of Americans still lack access to reliable high-speed internet. This “digital divide” limits opportunities for education, healthcare, and economic growth in rural and underserved areas. Expanding fiber connectivity helps close that gap and ensures equal access for everyone.
