Thousands of rural homes and businesses in western Arizona are gaining high-speed broadband through major state investments in Wecom Fiber.
The Arizona-based provider has been awarded $24.5 million to connect an estimated 6,500 properties across Mohave County and $4.8 million for approximately 700 connections in La Paz County. The combined $29.3 million investment was allocated through Arizona’s Broadband Equity, Access & Deployment (BEAD) program, part of a $967 million rural broadband expansion announced by Governor Katie Hobbs.
